Sailing 4 Nature - Sponsoring the Fandango Foundation |
The Fandango The climate changes, so does the world around us. In Second Life we can't see it, and that's why Dutch Exchange thinks it's so important to make people aware and support projects that help to save the environment. And what better organization to support then the WWF? Ever since he was a little boy, Kees de Walle (37) sails the seven seas, and has a lot of experience with sailing races. Because Kees sees the changes affect the ocean around him, he founded the Fandango foundation, raising funds for the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF). Dutch Exchange supports this initiative with all it's heart, and is proud to be sponsoring the venues of the foundation. Visit the website of Fandango to follow it's sailing venues. Kees de Walle More about Kees de WalleKees sails the races like the Cowes week, Copa del Rey (Spain), the Delta week, North Sea regatta and many more like courses, endurance and speed races. He began his career as first mate working his way up to Main Sail-trimmer/tactical man till he eventually reached the helm. Between regatta's he sailed across the ocean 4 times as yacht delivery skipper. At the end of October, Kees bought the "Fandango", a FF110, developed by Jac de Ridder built to be a dual-hander. Only short after the delivery Kees sailed together with Pim Schulp to the first victory in the open 50 Miles dual-handed.
